Hey! I'm Megan, a photographer living in Olympia, Washington. My apartment is full of sport pennants, plants, cooking utensils, and chocolate milk. My boyfriend Kai and I love to hang with our pup Nellie, especially in the sunshine with some Coronas and lime.
So, here's the CliffsNotes version of how I got into photography. Back in middle school, my dad gifted me my first camera. He saw my passion for photography as I snapped pictures of everyone and everything on my knock-off Razr flip-phone. So many dog pictures where on that phone. Since, I've been able to grow as a photographer with experience, stellar gear, and my passion for this beautiful medium, I'm so happy you're here.
Photography has given me a look into stories and experiences that make people who they are, what makes they happy, and the places that hold such meaning for them. Being able to capture your love, your story, your light creates meaning in my life. Photography is what makes me, me.
Now, over a decade later, I've been able to document some of the most amazing chapters in our lives.
From the big and messy to the tiny and quiet moments, I'm here for it all. This time in your life, no matter what it looks or feels like, is beyond worth documenting. MY APPROACH
My style is centered on who you truly are, not just posing you in front of a pretty backdrop at sunset because anyone can do that. My approach is to photograph you for who you truly are in this moment. Together, we create space for you to be you. Sure, the first ten minutes of our time together may be awkward, but I promise you will feel grounded before you know it. We will bring your vision to life together through strong connection and trust with one another.
No fake smiles, stiff poses, or forced staging will be happening. I'll be giving you plenty of direction for you to feel confident. You deserve to look back
at these photos and see yourself in them. You'll remember what the smells were, how the sun felt on your skin, and how you felt connected to the earth below your feet.
Anyone can take beautiful photos of you, but I want to capture something more meaningful for you. Because, guess what? You deserve it. I want every part of this to feel like it's yours. Your story, regardless of how messy, weird, or wild it may be, deserves to be photographed.
Throughout our time, let's create something beautiful together.
HOW THIS WILL FEEL
Trusting and connecting with one another will do wonders for the both of us. I'm not just a vendor and you're not just a client; we are humans with our own experiences that have shaped us into the people we are today! We're going to be super connected because I’m super invested in you and your story. I really do care so so much about you and want to be more than just a one-off experience for you.
Let's focus on creating together rather than just cranking out photos. Most of my couples show up to their session apologizing for being awkward and not knowing what to do with their hands. By the end of the sesh, they walk away sharing how easy it felt and how much fun they had.
Getting photos doesn't have to be hard! I'm here to make sure you have a damn good time. You're going to look back at these photos for decades, remembering this moment in time. I want them to speak your truth because that's what this is really about.

That is my motto: you be you, that’s all that matters. It's a little phrase I tell myself that drives my creativity, guides my clients, and is the foundation for my photography.

If your wedding or elopement is taking place outside of Washington State, I ask that you support my travels. Let's hop on a call and figure out what's best for all of us!
If I can drive to your event outside of Washington State such as an event in Oregon, I ask that you partly support my travels which includes gas.
You can always upgrade your package with me! You guys can literally be shaking your booties on the dance floor during your wedding and ask me to stick around to shoot more. We can figure out payment later. Additional hours are available at $100/hour.
Interested in a second shooter? I have a handful of photographers I can call on if needed. This is an additional fee, depending on the second photographer's rate. Typically, I shoot my weddings solo and feel confident that I will capture everything you're dreaming of!

If the above packages are unable to fit your needs, let's talk about customizing your package even more! If you are needing less than 4 hours of coverage, this is when I will draft a completely customized proposal for you based on my current hourly rate. I am unable to offer a complimentary engagement session if you're needing less than 4 hours of coverage, but would love to discount an engagement session for you for $300! If you are needing more than 8 hours of coverage, additional hours are available at $100/hour.

Once a wedding collection has been chosen, I will send you and your boo a proposal to review, sign, and place your 30% non-refundable deposit. A signed proposal and deposit secure your special day with me!
