Washington is full of beautiful outdoor places, including Mount Rainier for Brittany and David’s engagement. Mount Rainier was in full view, the landscape was so green, and the sun glowed for us all day.
Remember, to enter the park, you will need an America the Beautiful Pass or you can pay a one-day entry fee. I highly recommend purchasing the pass because with that pass, you gain unlimited visits for an entire year. After visiting three national parks per year, the pass has already paid itself off.
We first met up at Paradise, the perfect place to use the bathroom and snag some extra water, before heading up the trail for their engagement photos. The Paradise Visitor Center is located 19 miles east of the Nisqually Entrance and 12 miles east of Longmire, so either entrance to Mount Rainier isn’t too bad of a drive! I mean, we are in Washington, the views are gorgeous everywhere you go.
Heading up the Skyline Trail was definitely one way to warm up for engagement photos! This trail is steeper, but so worth it because there were less people in this area we encountered. There are so many trails at Mount Rainier that you can hike and get stunning views. Fun fact, before Brittany and David arrived, I scouted the best trail for our session because I wanted to make sure with the lighting and environment, we were taking their engagement photos in the best spot that reflected the couple and highlighted the beautiful Mount Rainier landscape.
Brittany and David chose Mount Rainier for their engagement photos for a few reasons. Their beauty as a couple truly paralleled the stunning landscape we explored together. If you’d like to have your own Mount Rainier engagement session, please reach out and let’s make this happen!
